ANNIYAN (tamil movie)

ANNIYAN
Anniyan (Aparichithudu in Telugu; Aparichit in Hindi) is a high-budget 2005 Tamil movie. It was the first Indian movie to be dubbed into French and then released worldwide in French-speaking countries. Columbia Tristar had recently acquired the French dubbing rights. The film was a mega-blockbuster playing for 240 days in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh and 150 days in Kerala. Furthermore, Anniyan was dubbed to Hindi as Aparichit, though it didn't make a success mostly because of the bad dubbing(from rediff.com): "Now I want to watch Anniyan. Aparichit could have been a super entertainer, but the disastrous dubbing robs the film of its flavor, reducing it to a merely enjoyable watch.

The movie stars the actors Vikram, Prakash Raj, Sada, and Vivek. The film is directed by S. Shankar of Gentleman fame. The score and soundtrack, composed by Harris Jayaraj, was released on April 27, 2005. The motion picture took over two years to complete (2003–2005). The film was the most expensive Tamil feature film made of the year, costing Rs. 263,800,000.
